Outstanding is a word that is rarely used these days but if I had to choose one word to accurately describe the STS Turbo kit I put on my Silverado, it would have to be "OUTSTANDING". This truly is a "bolt-on" kit. Ease of installation aside, the power and torque this kit made was nothing less than incredible. I have an 06 Chevy Silverado 2WD with the smallest V8 Chevy makes (4.8L) under the hood and it dyno'd at 340 hp and 380 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels. Pretty good for a 6psi boost and I doubt there is a supercharger in existence that will do anything close to that - well, maybe with twice the boost. Whether I am driving down the highway or zippin' around town, I get plenty of looks from the throaty V8 topped off with turbo spool......and of course the BOV. My truck has never been so much fun to drive and it gets more fun to drive every time someone on the road, other trucks especially, thinks they can take me and they get their doors blown off.......by a Chevy truck. Keep up the good work STS. Thanks a lot to Freddy at STS and Billy at TRT. As for turbo lag, I'll just say the spool-up is damn near instant!!!

The STS Kit was brilliantly engineered, I'm glad I chose STS to boost my 2005 Pontiac GTO! The STS turbo kit and Methanol kit was installed and tuned by Pro Dyno, Phoenix AZ Which I would like to thank Charles Hendrickson, Matt and his team for hooking me up. I also would like to thank the regional manager Freddy Polo for helping me get the ball rolling and sticking with me from beginning to end. As my first couple of days back in town with my turbo'd GTO, I had my chance to put it to the test as buddy of mine in his Subaru WRX STI (20 PSI) rolled up beside me, we immediately decided to go at it from a roll in 3rd gear. I gave it the 3 honks and instantly had him by 3 cars and growing by time I was at 145 MPH I couldn't see him anymore had to be about 13 car link win and that was with it set at 5 PSI. I was very pleased. My kit at 2,000 + elevation at 5PSI W/O methanol 440 WHP & 8PSI w/methanol is 511 WHP and 524 FTLB TQ.

I want to thank everyone at STS for the awesome customer support and for an amazing turbo set up. My 4.6L 06 F150 never was a power house especially when I added 35 inch tires. This turbo brought my truck to life and runs amazing. The power increase is unbelievable. Thanks Again for great support and an even better product!!

I wanted to give you an update on the turbo kit installed on my H2 - IT'S GREAT! The performance improvement is absolutely incredible! At sea level, the acceleration is truly remarkable; at Lake Arrowhead, at 6000', the performance is still great. Climbing to 6200' on the way to Arrowhead, the H2 used to labor between 2nd and 3rd gears; now, I make the trip using 3rd and 4th gears, and I'm going faster. On the highway, the engine's "comfort zone" used to be about 70-75 mph. With the turbo, the engine feels right at about 85 mph. Highway fuel economy seems to have improved 1 or 2 mpg. I can't say much about the city fuel economy because I'm still experiencing the WOW factor; it's too easy to put my foot in the turbo, especially when near another Hummer. Finally, the components in the kit are 1st class. Whenever a friend wants to see/drive my H2 for the first time, I show them the intercooler, blowoff valve, and the rest of the plumbing, and they're always impressed by the workmanship. Then I let them drive it and they're really impressed. Thanks, again, for a great product, and for recommending API to install the kit. Gavin and his staff know the product well, and are extremely conscientious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend STS or API to anyone.

I would like to take this time and thank you for all the help you have given me on this project. We started just with adding a lift kit then we thought ok brakes, Then we thought horsepower so out with the factory fan and water pump, Then we thought more horsepower and Donald at $ Wheel parts put me on to Squires Turbo and the web site - now I'm sold. So here are some pics along with a note telling how pleased I am with your product. This truck gets down the road - press the gas and you can feel that sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet thing kick up and booogity, boogity, boogity down the road you go. Driving this truck is the most fun you'll have with your clothes on or allowed by law.

This is a shout-out to all you motor-heads that are looking for the ultimate bolt on application for instant trouble free power gains! It is a tough decision...Turbo chargers... or super chargers? Before you make a change to your powerplant for God's sake do some research on both applications! Personally..I chose the new turbo system from STS simply because of its ease and simplicity. Not to mention..It's afford ability ! The single most important tip i can share with you is product knowledge! Period! That's where these guys come in. Team STS knows their stuff! They treat you the way they would want to be treated! Hands down very fast and most of all very effective. Vernon Hills from team STS spoke with me to let me know what i needed to do to twin turbo charge my 02 z06.Vernon lives to help motor heads like me to accomplish one thing..beat the competition! Thanks Vernon this "Boost" is for you! At first i was skeptical about moving forward with the installation of the turbos to my mint condition z06. Simply because of one thing..Finding the right person to get the job done! Now looking back i see that was the easy part. David, the owner of OTT Motorsports takes the owrd perfection to a new level! This guy is a machine! His work is untouchable..Absolutely flawless in every turn of a wrench! Like many of us who baby our rides, we want the right person to perform the upgrades to our powerplants! Simply put..David at OTT Motorsports exceeded all of my expectations! Davis starts with excellence and doesn't stop until its perfection! Before any changes were made to my z06 David at OTT called me and invited me to his shop. This is where he will give birth to the twins! After talking with David i knew he was the man to do the work! Since then David and I have become great friends, simply because of his attention to detail my z06! David transformed my z06 into "Zilla z06" and yet he has since then he has added many interior and exterior upgrades to my ride! He can do it all! My next upgrade for David is to crank up the boost by building the powerplant to handle the higher boost levels. Thanks David from OTT Motorsports! The checkered flag is all yours! -Bobby W.

I took the car to MIR yesterday and ran the kit for the first time. The car ran consistent 10.80's. The car has more in it. I ran without methanol injection at 8 psi. Here is the best pass of the day. 60' 1.514 330 4.485 1/8 6.924 mph 101.96 1000 9.029 1/4 10.780 mph 129.52 I have to admit I was skeptical of how well the car would run versus the supercharger. I ran 10.77 @ 133 with the supercharger six months ago at the same track with 8psi and running Methanol. Well it proved to me it was worth the switch. With the methanol add and some professional tuning I know it will run 10.50's easy with the STS. Make sure you tell Freddy. He told me I wouldn't regret the switch and he was right.

I want to thank Squires Turbo Systems for manufacturing this kit. It has a awesome sound also and is a blast to drive! This truck is my Daily Driver and i can get a consistent 23mpg highway/15mpg city. My best time so far is a 13.34 @ 102mph with a 2.00 60'. This is at full street trim and No weight reduction. I towed my friends Camaro to the track, unhooked the trailer from the truck and ran 13.3s all night and towed my friends Mustang Cobra home when it broke. Just want to say thanks and keep up the good work!

I really do love the kit and it definitely woke my car up. When I was looking at doing some sort of forced induction on my Camaro, I looked at all the superchargers out there and for the price they are a complete rip off. To me it still wasn't worth the price of a 6000-7200 and then a pain to install. I couldn't be happier with the STS kit. It has a great price, people are always asking me whats under my car, and the power and the sound is just incredible.
Thanks again, A very loyal customer, Chris D. 1995 Camaro (SS clone)

We are finally putting the finishing touches on the tune for my STS. They are FANTASTIC......
I am running 5 PSI on a regular basis but switch to 7.5 and blowing away anything that has tried me...
Thanks for all of your help and hope to see you guys at Corvette Carlisle in August.

I want to first thank you personally for all of the work you did putting the deal together for my turbo kit and all of the follow up you did when I had some issues. Excellenct customer service. Secondly I would like to thank your company for putting together such a great product. Everything performs just as promised and I was very happy with my 2001 Z06 putting down 562 rwhp and 570rwtq on the dyno after tuning. Seeing as my car put out 331 to the rear tire stock thats a 231rwhp increase with just the turbo install and running it at 9psi on an otherwise stock LS6 engine.

I drove the H2 about 135 miles today, and it's great. On the road I was averaging14.9 mpg, but more importantly, going up hills when the truck was either laboring or downshifting into 3rd, it just pulled uphill in 4th O.D. The components look fantastic! My complements to STS for the great workmanship. I told Gavin that the blowoff valve and the wastegate looked too pretty to get dirty. API did a great job of installing the kit and making the truck run. Thanks to both of you. I'm going up to Lake Arrowhead on Thursday and will give you a report on how it pulled up to 6200'.

I am amazed at the night and day difference the STS turbo system made to my 2007 V6 Mustang. It was a pretty fast car to begin with but after getting the system installed it is a BEAST. Everywhere I drive I have a huge smile on my face. Words really can't describe how amazing it is. The guys at STS Turbo were fantastic to work with. They kept me updated on everything during the entire installation and answered all my questions. They genuinely cared about getting everything 100% right. I love the kit and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for more horsepower. This is the best system you could buy. Thanks guys!

Racing at 6000 ft elevation with summer DA's around 9000 ft I needed forced induction and chose STS for the clean installation, performance potential and total absence of heat or belt issues. The horsepower this kit makes is tremendous. My STS 402 CI Z06 is consistently running 136 mph in the quarter on 11 lbs of boost (ET is steadily improving as I learn how to launch and shift with this much power). After I run the car, people come over to look under the hood and just scratch their heads until I tell them to step behind it and kneel. Always driven to/from the track - street driving is great as the power comes on smoothly and the rear mounting actually improves traction. The system is perfectly reliable and the customer service and technical support from STS are beyond outstanding.

Just a quick note on my STS kit for the 350Z. It's fast, fast, very fast, and sounds great. I previously had a supercharger on my car.....The STS smokes it hands down in fit, finish, quality of product, and most important performance. I will tell everyone I know to look into this kit. I have attached some pictures for you to use as you please to promote this kit.
Here is a video of racing at Thunderhill!
Boost is very consistent. I don't run hot with this set up even on long hard track days like Thunderhill. I use to run the vortech but my car overheated everytime at Thunderhill on moderately hot days. I have high praise for the STS kit.

Being the owner of a company that has built Championship race cars and high end performance parts, I am very picky about what I put on my own cars. So when STS offered to put their remote twin turbo set up on our 05 C6 Corvette being built for SEMA 2006 I did my research. What I found was a company with an impeccable reputation for quality and service. From all that I read and heard I was sold.
In January I placed the car on a trailer for the 2000 mile ride to STS. Three days later Rick called to let me know the car had arrived safe and sound. That's when STS's efforts really started to show. From the time the car arrived to the time I picked it up in late March, I was kept informed every step of the way. The crew at STS provided me with pictures and video. They also helped source other parts needed such as gauges and boost controller. When I wanted to put something on the car that wasn't a good fit they let me know and recommended items that would meet my high level of expectation. They were awesome.
In late March I flew out to STS. I was greeted by a friendly staff that you can tell really enjoys what they do. When they showed me the car I was blown away. The fit of the kit is awesome. It looks like GM meant for it to be there. The components are excellent quality. A real professional job.
But all that being said, I wanted to know how the car performed. Was this a good investment?
With the Utah mountains in the background we took the car for a drive. There is not a whole lot in the performance world that impresses me but from the first time I stepped on the pedal I was more than impressed. My meek and timid Vette had been transformed into a real performance machine. The power came on quick and hard yet the car was left very driveable. There was no downside to the incredible boost in performance.
After our test drive we said goodbye to the folks at STS and proceeded to drive the car 2000 miles in 2 1/2 days to get home. That is a trip that I will never forget. The car ran flawlessly. Whether we were in the winding roads of the Rocky Mountains or the plains of Kansas what a rush. The car was like a totally different animal. Friendly to drive yet a real beast with power that was right there.
Now that I am home and have had a chance to reflect on the whole experience I can say without a doubt that STS and it's products are first class. They do what they say they will do and their products transform cars into performance machines.

I'm the owner of the 2005 Vette that Scott & Kerry from Cutting Edge just finished installing your twin turbo system on my car, this afternoon Scott and myself went for a test run @ 10 pounds boost and in my words, "It's the most fun you can have with your pants on." Great system! Both Scott and Kerry are impressed, I have had both supercharger systems on different vettes of mine and this is by far the system to have!
Sincerely, Brad in Kelowna B.C.

As soon as I saw the first pictures of the STS twin turbo installation for the C5 Corvette, I decided that if was ever going to do any power mods to my 04 Z06 this would be the one I would do. Temptation got the better of me soon after. Installation was straight forward and I had no trouble completing the install with just jack stands in my garage. This is a true bolt on kit. Everything fit the way it was supposed to and finish on the parts is excellent.
I am very impressed with the power the car now has and low speed drivability remains excellent. I can still take it to the grocery store and would have no second thoughts about taking a 2 week road trip with it.
Sales service from STS has been the best I have ever experienced. Any questions I had were answered prompty. I don't think I ever waited more than an hour for a reply. If you call STS and have to leave a message, they will get back to you Quickly!! If you are looking for more power for your Corvette, STS is the way to go.
Thanks again for a geat product!

I would have been stuck with a boring supercharger if wasn't for the help of all of these guys and the STS Remote Mounted Turbo Kit.
I have had Blown and Stroked Mustangs, Big Block Pro Street Novas with lots of GAS NO2 and a pretty wicked Grand National. None of them compare to the fun I have in my GTO.

I have a 2005 Mustang GT with an automatic transmission. From the factory the car was fun to drive, but with all my projects through the years it lacked a little in the horsepower department. I did all the small things like a torque converter, pulleys, exhaust, etc. which helped it a lot and got it into the 12's. I still wanted more and I decided to go with a Procharger (at first anyway). This woke the car up obviously. The Procharger added a lot of nose weight and at times seemed flat at certain parts in the powerband. I then set out to find a better power adder option.
The STS turbo setup was very intriguing. I gave them a call and the rest is history. I can honestly say that the STS option is one of the best things that I have done to my car. Because the turbos mount in the back, the neutral handling car I once had was back. All the components under the hood except for the MAF tube are back in place. The kit arrived very well packed and might I add VERY quickly for a turbo kit. The guys at STS answered all my questions and to this day they still check in.
I have completed all the part throttle and idle tuning. I've also done some WOT spurts to find out boost, tip in, and response. This kit has changed the entire car and it now performs exactly as I want. I know that once I can do a full WOT blast I will have a smile from ear to ear since I already love the way it performs under normal driving conditions!!
This setup put the Procharger to shame, at least on my car. Oh and I almost forgot to mention I get 3 mpg more in the city over the Procharger setup. I'm not sure why, but I'll dang sure take it.
I'll come back and add to this once I have final numbers from a dyno or the strip. Until then I'll be all smiles. Thanks to the guys at STS for a great product and great service!!

"When I first drove my 2003 Z06 it felt like a very fast car.. Now a stock Z06 feels like a Caprice Classic to me!!! STS's Twin Turbo system for my Z06 transformed my car into a monster. I installed the kit by myself, and the instructions were easy to follow. The payoff was amazing. Being able to spin your tires when you are already going 80mph is outrageous! The torque is amazing, and the car feels like it can pull forever. The turbos spool up quickly without any lag, and then it is time to hang on! Great kit!"

"I was looking for the fastest affordable production car I could find when I purchased my 2002 Z06 Corvette. A couple of years later I happened to see an episode of "Two Guys Garage" on the Speed Channel where they installed a remote turbo set-up on a late model Camaro. The dyno results on the Camaro were very impressive - almost a 50% increase in horsepower and torque at the rear wheels. I could hardly imagine what that much of an increase to my Z06 would do, but I wanted to find out. I found the STS website, but at the time they were still working on a proto-type application that would fit the C-5 Corvette. By chance, I only live about 75 miles from the STS factory and I got an invite to see a local dealer working on the prototype system. Based on just seeing the prototype system (the car wasn't running yet) and a short test drive in a Camaro with a single turbo unit, I committed to purchasing one of their first production twin turbo systems as soon as they became available.
When I took delivery of my completed car, I could hardly believe the amount of improvements that had been made for the final production system. The prototype system I saw was very well hidden, but the production system on my car was almost invisible to the naked eye. At first glance, the large exhaust tips are the only noticeable hint that there's something's different about my car. I could tell they didn't just rush a system off the drawing board to quickly get it on the street. They took the time to ensure all of the components fit perfect and along the way made several other upgrades to the production system.
You might ask if I can tell the difference in power. All I can say is that when I put my foot down on the throttle, it's really hard to keep from laughing out loud! I didn't believe some of the stories I had heard about being able to feel the wheels spin in 3rd gear, but now I'm a believer and I have the smile to prove it.
One other point - the dealer that installed my system had a problem getting the tube between my car's throttle body and the air bridge tube to stay in place under full throttle. When I told Rick Squires, the owner of STS, about the situation he immediately invited me down to his facility so he could take a look. When I arrived, he quickly identified the problem and fixed it himself. He personally made sure I was completely satisfied. I can tell Rick takes pride in the quality of his product and that he's earning a great reputation with his customers. The tube connection problem immediately disappeared and Rick got another customer for life. Should I ever get another performance car, I'll be one of the first people in line wanting another turbo set-up from STS."

"We decided to take the plunge and move over to the dark side of forced induction. All I can say, is that we should have done the STS system much, much sooner! I personally have watched the systems and STS over the past 3 years and have seen them PROVE that the system works time and time again....and it works GREAT!
Right after the system was installed, we took a road trip to California and even though we tested out the turbo's several times, we managed to increase our mpg by about 5 more mpg! What a bonus!! The systems are well thought out and really wake the car up!
But, I think the thing I like the very most about this system, is that my hubby doesn't stand a chance against me now!! I see a VERY bright future for STS! And I can't imagine NOT having one of their systems on my car! Thanks a ton guys!!!"

"I thought I had a fast ride before I put the turbo system on, and I was right, but now! The car really screams!
I had second thoughts after I ordered the system. I thought, "There is no way this thing can be that good, the lag is going to be terrible!" I had to eat my words the first time I drove my T/A! The only thing I could think was "Holy *&#%" I had to lift off the throttle, it scared me that bad. What lag!?! None. The boost hits, and it hits HARD!
Cobras don't stand a snowballs chance in hell. Yes it's that good. And it's worth the money. The only thing I wished I'd done different, ORDERED THE KIT ALOT SOONER!!!"

My car is a 1999 Trans AM, I saw STS while looking at supercharged systems and decided to look into it. At the time I had already put on a Zex nitrous 150 shot system and wanted to get away from the bottle. I could not count the times I wanted to play a little and found the bottle was empty or had to wait for the bottle warmer to warm the bottle.
I saw the horsepower gains from the supercharger systems and then the STS Turbo and it was a no brainer. As always I investigated some and found that the power gains were real and just dismissed the lag issue on all the tech pages due to lack of information. We are talking about an LS1, stock 300 RWHP. I purchased the full kit and upgraded turbo for future possible needs.
I found after I installed the STS turbo that there was a lot more bang for the buck then I had expected. I did not have to deal with the whine at idle of a supercharger but when I stepped on it all I could do was smile with that distinctive spool up and then the power kicked in. I could never imagine going back. I am currently pushing 411 RWHP, this is with an automatic to boot.
But I think the best experience in this whole deal was working with the staff, but most of all Rick. Any questions I might have had were answered promptly and professionally. And even now, months after my purchase and install I can call or e-mail and I know I will get a fast response. Now days of automated answering machines and e-mails, and second hand info, this was in my opinion the best customer service I have had. Thanks for all the fun!

"Getting married meant purchasing a ring and selling the Grand National and the 05 Vette to get a "practical" vehicle. Equipped from the factory with the Vortec Max 345/380 engine, my 2006 Chevy Crew Cab was no slouch on power. I learned in just two months though that I couldn't live without a turbo.
I'd seen the STS kits in "GM HighTech Performance" magazine and "Trucks!" and took note of the innovative, rear mount, design and hp gains. My truck only had 3500 miles on it when it got the kit put on. I opted for the GT67 upgrade and the 42# injectors. Wow! What a difference! The tuning support from STS was fantastic. I havent' taken the truck to the dyno yet but at 7# of fast spooling boost it has already shamed Mustangs, RX's, ZX's, Lightning's, and any kind of truck that wanted to step up.
I fly jets for a living and this thing sounds just like a jet engine spooling up. The exhaust tone is great at idle and mellow at speed. Everybody turns their head when they hear the turbo. I love to drive with the windows down just to listen to it! I've added an Alky Control system with a 2.5gal tank (fits well in place of the airbox) and I monitor the operation with Autometer "Phantom" boost and EGT gauges and an LS1 Scanmaster. Sure it's not a GN or Vette, but thanks to the STS kit it is the fastest truck around. Oh, and it can tow over 10,000 pounds carrying four people in comfort all the way to the lake."

2001 Convertible Trans-Am
I spent allot of time researching power adders for my '01 Convertible TA in early 2003. I ended up with a Supercharger with intercooler by Vortech. I was just a little more than disappointed with the performance... at 9 PSI intercooled, I was seeing only 400 HP at the wheels. On top of that working on anything under the hood was really hard.
It was about then (Fall '03) that I ran into the crew from STS. Having been to their shop for some other custom exhaust work, I found myself really impressed by their business organization AND product. I was so impressed that (even though they didn't yet have a kit for the convertible), I sold the Vortech kit in anticipation of the kit for the convertible. In fact they've used my car as the template/prototype for that and I've got no regrets!!
With the minor mods I already had, I was getting 313 HP/330 FtLbs at the wheels. Now, I'm running 5 PSI boost with a variable boost controller at 9 PSI and Methanol injection. At 5 PSI I'm seeing 400 HP/455 FtLbs at the rear wheels and over 470 HP/528 FtLbs at 9 PSI (with the converter not locked up)...
So the overall result is incredible! 12.5 seconds in the 1/4 at 4000' elevation. Breaks the tires loose floored from a 65 mph cruise. This is just the greatest way to really "Light The Afterburner" on your Z or TA without breaking the bank, carving up your car or making it impossible to work on. I highly recommend it.

"Ive always been fascinated by power, but i never knew how to go about adding a forced induction setup to my truck. To me Turbo = intimidating, until I found out how easy it was to bolt on an STS TURBO kit on my truck.
The first ride I took in an STS equipped truck left me speechless!! I absolutley had a smile that lasted for three days, I was hooked and have been ever since! Who would have thought that a full size 4x4 truck could outrun Corvettes and Camaros and those pesky tuner cars. But thanks to STS my truck is on steroids! And the best part about this kit, other than ease of installation is its upgradeable for your tastes of power and can be done as means allow.
I would have this kit just for the awesome sound the turbo makes. People can't believe it is my truck that sounds like a race car! This kit IS for you and and is the best bang for the buck I've ever had. The support at STS is great also. They've always been quick to help. The only problem I have is keeping tires on my truck as they shread at will!"
Thanks STS,

"These rear mounted turbo systems produce amazing power and torque. It not only turned my 94 Camaro z28 into a killer street machine, but it puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. Everytime those RPMS climb it just plants you right into the seat.
I have driven a Procharged z28 before. After comparing the two there is no doubt that these turbo systems produce way more power and torque. I can spin the tires in every gear I shift into. Amazing product for the money.
I had my doubts about these systems at first because of the turbo lag and the turbo actually being mounted near the gas tank. I'm so glad I decided to go with this system over a procharger.
The staff at STS is amazing. They are dedicated 100% to satisfy all there customers. I would definitely recommend STS to anyone looking to make huge horsepower and torque. Thanks again STS for making such an awesome product!!!"

"I had a Magna Charger and ran 12.6 @110mph with it. That was the best that thing could do. Now with this STS turbo the truck feels 100 times stronger and faster. My intake temps droped over 110 degrees!!! I know that with my STS turbo I will now be able to break the 11 second barrier with no problem. And its only 4.8 liter!"
Update 2/23/06 - I recently built a forged 4.8L, made 540rwhp at 17lbs on pump gas. First time out with new trans went 11.80 @118.9. That makes it the fastest and most powerful 4.8L known to me or anyone on PreformanceTruck.net or LS1Tech.

2000 Chevy Truck Boost 12lbs
Vehicle Modifications: STS turbo kit, dual boost controller, 30lb injectors, Grace Motorsports intercooler kit, FLP trans, 2500 stall and Eaton Posi
Update 1/15/06: "The truck now has 12lbs of boost and is making 475hp and 606tq. It is still the stock motor and has 163k on it. I just installed 42# injectors and without meth it made 447hp and 547tq. Going back next week to dyno tune with the meth. The last trip to the track it ran a 7.54 at 92mph with a 1.70 60 ft 1/8 mile."
"Since I installed the STS turbo kit in my truck I have had nothing but pleasure out of it. Starting with the basic kit and doing minor performance modifications to the truck. I have succesfully put my truck in the 12's in the 1/4 mile. And thats without going into the motor. I have put approximatly 20k on the truck since the install and had no problems with it. For a truck with 140k on it. Thats not to bad. Cant wait to see what it does when I am finished with the coming mods. I will soon be putting one on my wife's 2002 Z28. She said she wanted a louder car. Well. She's going to get it."
Update 5/18/06: "After the 42lb injectors were put in and dynoed. The trans went out. So I had a little down time before I got back to the dyno with the Meth on it. After installing an FLT level 4 trans and precision converter. I put her back on the dyno and turn up the boost to 14 and dialed in the meth. Without any tuning it made 518whp and 653wtq. The truck now has 168k on it and still going strong. I'm going back latter to do more tuning to it. Hoping for about 550hp and 700tq. We will just have to see."

After riding in a 4th gen STS Camaro we knew we had to make it work on the Retro Rides Camaro. Our vehicles look like the classic, but everything inside is 4th gen. We had to lengthen one pipe, but after that the system fit like a glove. The system sounds unbelievable and flat out flies!

I want to thank the STS for making such an incredible setup! Who would have thought that a 5800lb Denali could run down the track in 100 degree heat on a "slow" track and run 13.5 @ 100mph with a 1.9 60ft? Not me, but it does now! With the stock 6.0, all-wheel-drive, and the GT-67 STS turbo setup running Methanol, the truck put down 471hp and 525tq at 9psi. Yes, that's at the wheels!
This power allowed me to run quicker than plenty of fast company at the track. Faster than a stock Mitsubishi Evo (I hope it was stock), a turbocharged E36 BMW M3, a modded SRT-4, a new GTO, a new Mustang GT, and I could go on. I sat and watched many ?a fast car run slower than my times that night. One car that was quicker and only by .1, was a new 6-speed C6 with headers-back and a tune, on his fastest run. One tenth!!! We compared time slips. My times were much quicker all the way until about 90mph where my stall was prematurely locking up when shifting into 3rd. I will run quicker as soon as I play with the torque management a bit more in the tune.
Now, just imagine what this setup would do in a lighter truck? Low 12's anyone? Oh, and an added benefit of the turbo. I'm seeing about 1.5mpg better for my fuel economy!
Thanks again to the crew at STS!!

Z71 5.3L GMC Truck
"This is by far the coolest mod I have ever done to any of my cars. I've run nitrous, superchargers, and heads/cam combos and so far nothing has put a smile on my face like the day I took my truck for a test drive after the STS install. At anything less than 35mph I floor it and it's instant tirespin for as long as I wanna drive sideways ;) Remember this is an Ext.Cab 4x4 fullsize truck with a 5.3L motor!
My truck stock makes a max of 242HP at the wheels. With my current mods and the STS kit I now make 436 RWHP and 479 RWTQ and never have less than 400 RWHP from 4000rpm to 6700rpm. Talk about a nice powerband!"

Dear Squires Turbo Systems,
I wanted to write you this letter to let you know how satisfied I am with the install of your turbo system on my Hummer H2.
When I first bought the Hummer H2, I noticed it had a lack of power coming over the Parleys Summit on Interstate 80 and really had no response when punching the throttle.
Since the install of the STS Turbo system, the H2 has come to life. It now can travel over Parleys Summit at any speed needed and also when punching the throttle, you really feel a great response.
I must say the install of the turbo system is one in a million. I have built many racecars and 4 x 4's over the last 15 years, and do most of my own mechanic work, but I must say the professionalism of the install and welding that is incorporated with the turbo system is very impressive.
The towing power of the H2 has been one of the biggest items I have noticed. Also the H2 is averaging 12.5 mpg, which is an increase of 2.3 mph over stock. That's a 23% gain!
I recommend one of your turbo kit to anybody needing more from their Hummer H2.
Thanks for the great work and customer service.

2003 Silverado SS
"I couldn't be happier with my STS kit! I love the power, the instant throttle response, hitting full boost at 3000rpm, and especially the looks I get as I shriek by sounding like a 737. I have nothing but good experience with the hardware.
To be honest, my feelings about the support I've received from STS make my statements above seem negative... STS is hands down the best company I've ever dealt with! I've received so much support that I'm starting to feel guilty about the price I paid for my kit. With support like I've gotten from Dave and Rick, I would gladly pay double the retail price!
The combination of the people and the product would make purchasing another STS kit for another vehicle the easiest decision in the world.
My plans to further modify my truck to a big cube, high flowing motor revolve around my STS kit. I will be upgrading my turbo to support the new motor and am aiming for 750-800 horsepower."

I had the system put on last October and drove through a pretty wet and snowy winter driving it nearly every day. I was concerned about dirt and water getting in the filter, but the K&N Precharger has done a great job.
At 7 lbs. I took 2 seconds off my G-tech quarter-mile time, before I did any tuning. Everything else is stock on my car, including the 245/16 tires.
If you're not interested in tearing your car to pieces and want great power for the money, I think this kit is the answer. The driveability is awesome and by 3500 RPM, I'm at full boost.
This car is so fun to drive, I'm leaving my 2000 Vette home! I can't believe I went so long with my slow Z28 before making the jump. No LT1 should be without it!

I can't say enough about my STS turbocharger. After seeing what a STS turbo did for my brother's Tundra, I had to have one. My car is so fast now! I gained 69% HP and increased my 1/4 mile speed by 14 mph at only 7 psi. It drives like a stock Camaro until you stick your foot into it and the boost hits. With a few mods and 10 psi boost I am pounding on Bullet Bikes! Talk about the ultimate street sleeper: 522 rwhp and 620 rwtq through stock heads, cam, and exhaust. I pop the hood and people have no idea that it is even turbocharged.

After lifting my Tacoma my truck wouldn't get out of it's own way. Driving on the freeway and pulling hills was flat out embarrassing. My foot was to the floor everywhere I went. My friends tried talking me into going with the TRD supercharger. I am so glad that I went with the STS turbo kit. It runs so much better than my friends' superchargers. I absolutely leave them in the dust. The performance on and off the road is absolutely incredible. I gained 61%HP and 64%TQ at only 7 psi boost. My 0-60 time improved by over 3 seconds. Even the guys at the dyno shop were amazed!

Before the turbo I had to drive in the slow lane going 60 mph. Now I fly by people w/ no limit on how fast I can go. People always try to speed up and pass and I just floor it and leave them in the dust. The turbo is the best thing I put on my truck. I pulled up to a light and another Tacoma, about '99 w/ 31's and a Supercharger tried to race me. I smoked his truck by so much it wasn't even funny and I have 37" Super Swampers on my truck. It was funny to see his face. I couldn't have done that w/out my STS turbo kit. After the power this has given me I will definately put one on my next truck also.
Thanks STS, Chris H.

The STS Turbo System on my '03 Tacoma is without a doubt the single best upgrade I have ever purchased!
The day after I purchased the truck I drove it 650 miles to another state for work. I spent the entire day with the truck shifting in and out of over drive to the point of where I just turned the OD off which killed my gas mileage. I had plans of lifting the truck and had already decided on the tires and wheels I wanted. But it was obvious there was no way this truck could be jacked up and still remain usable. I was ready to take it back to the dealer and tell them to stuff it (like that ever works) when I heard the STS boys had come up with a turbo to fit the Tacoma. I gave STS a call and they said they could help me out. Why not, I said: I literally hated to drive the gutless wonder the way it was. The 3.4L is rated at 190hp from the factory. With the STS Turbo installed it registered over 250hp on the dyno. Driving away from the shop I couldn't believe it, it totally rocked! I was honestly looking for people who wanted to race. The increased freeway performance was the best part. The boost gave me oodles of passing power and not once has it shifted out of OD when I'm cruising. I now have a 6" Fabtech lift with 35's on 18's and I'm still happy with the performance. In fact, I use it to tow 4 ATV's with no problem. Definitely a must have if you want a serious upgrade.

I use to have a TRD supercharger on my d-cab Tacoma and thought I was pretty quick for a truck, until I got spanked by a friend with a turbo from STS. By the way he had a 6in lift with 33in tires. So out came the supercharger. Well after that beating I had to out do him. With the supercharger I ran 16.8 in the 1/4 mile and now I run 15.7 at the same amount of boost. The turbo is by far, a better way to go. Take it from someone who has had both supercharger and now a turbo.

Our 97 Ram Air, WS6 performance package Trans Am was already a fast car from the factory. I drag raced for 3 years at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City. The car was always consistent, which helped me finish in the top 10 my first year of racing. Half way through the 3rd year, my dad had the turbo installed. We took the car to the track in July when the temperature was 104 degrees. We made four passes that day. All passes were within 2 mph, and less than 1/10th of a second of each other. The car was still consistent for us with the STS Turbo.
We show our car at ISCA car shows and we have won over 60 trophies. With the location of the turbo being so unusual, it attracts a lot of attention and adds to the points we receive at the car shows.
STS owner Rick Squires has even attended some of these car shows to answer questions for anyone. We display the car up on jack stands and with mirrors under the car so the turbo can be seen easier. We love the reaction we get from people when we tell them the turbo is where the muffler used to be. Once they see the turbo, I have to answer a lot of questions. Rick and Dave are always eager to answer any questions and even make recommendations for better performance. STS Turbo Systems is a great company with a great product.

I have driven my '01 Tahoe for about 6 months now with an STS turbocharger kit on it and have loved every minute of it. I seriously don't want to ever own anything again without a turbo on it. The STS turbo makes it so much more enjoyable to drive. STS Turbo Kits speak for themselves. Anybody that's ever been in my Tahoe is absolutely floored by the power it has. I have a 24 foot Sea Ray boat and I live on a mountain with a six percent grade hill. I pulled that hill with my boat fully loaded and 4 buddys and went 70 mph. (and passed a few cars just for laughs) Everybody can have their Power Strokes and Cummins and Duramax. I'll have a 5.3L with a STS Turbo.

Here is a picture you don't see every day, a lifted Tacoma with 34" tires pulling a ski boat. My truck runs incredible with the STS Turbo System. It gained 73.5% RWHP at only 5 psi boost. It is seriously faster pulling the boat with the turbo than it was when it was stock and running empty. I can pull hills at 90 in overdrive that it struggled to get up and would lose speed in 3rd gear before. Current dyno is 343 rwhp and 390 rwtq at 12 psi with methanol on the stock engine. With nearly 3 times the stock rwhp, that is as much power as a new C6 Corvette! I wouldn't own a Tacoma without a STS System on it!
