| Red and Ready Nismo 370Z - Development Lab - Issue #18
This Red Hot Nissan STS Turbo equipped 370Z Nismo made it's debut at the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas and was one of the two STS Turbo equipped vehicles that were selected (from the thousands of cars at the show) to participate in the Optima Battery Ultimate Street Car Challenge. This Z is loaded with all the aftermarket parts necessary to make this street car highly competitive in a variety of racing venues. The car was built by Dan at Outperformance Shop in Texas for owner Nick Pugliese and was sent to STS Turbo for development of the all new Nissan 370Z STS remote turbo system. With rear wheel HP numbers at a heart pounding 475 and a soundtrack that is a cross between an F1 car and a F16 fighter jet, this hot little import has been an absolute hit everywhere the car goes! |

The STS Turbo equipped GTO was obviouisly the underdog of the MotorTrend shootout as it went up against competition like Lingenfelter's Twin Turbo Vette and Hennessey's Twin Turbo Viper, a Supercharged Ford GT and a ProCharged Mustang pumping out 28 psi of boost. When it was all said and done, the STS GTO was in a class all by itself delivering performance that was competitive with the $200k big boys at a price that was near the factory Z06 Target car. MotorTrend magazine voted the STS Turbo GTO 'best bang for the buck'! |
